No Hospital Yet

We packed up and headed to the hospital yesterday thinking we would be there this week for chemo. Last week, Caleb started developing mouth sores as a result of the chemo treatments. It makes it painful for him to eat and drink. They checked his numbers and they were a little low, and since chemo would lower his numbers further which would make the mouth sores worse, they decided to hold off on the chemo. We are going back in tomorrow to check numbers and possible check into the hospital for five days. If the numbers are still low or he has more mouth sores, we’ll hold off until Monday.

Holly’s been fighting a nasty cold the last couple of days, so she has had to limit her contact with Caleb since his numbers are low. She has been wearing a surgical mask when anywhere near him, which is not comfortable at all. Please be praying for her. Also, I will be having some surgery within the next couple of weeks. I would appreciate your prayers as well.

Today’s scripture – “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit , who lives in you.” Romans 8:11

  1. Keith and Holly and family,
I wanted to share a couple of verses with y’all. I know God is working in you and in your current situation. You have encouraged many with your faith and I know it has been attacked. Hang in there! My family is standing with yours! We love you guys!

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you. I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.

  2. Keith and Holly,
All of you guys are in my prayers. Holly, you have been sick a good bit with colds or sinus or something. It may be allergy born, perhaps from the heat/air system at your school. It’s a problem at the old, old school where I work (middle/high school). When I have looked in the return, it is black and dusty.
