Caleb has been doing great the last couple of days. The pain is a lot less, but he is still hitting the morphine pump as needed. Today the physical therapist came by and worked with him for about half an hour. He is out of the splint and has to do exercises every hour. The leg is still wrapped in ace bandage. The incision goes from just above his knee to just above his ankle, so it will take a little time to heal and recover.
We are still hoping to go home tomorrow, but a lot will depend on how he does the rest of today. Caleb is excited (as is his dad!) about watching the NASCAR races on TV today. But he is really ready to get home, as all of us are.
We are still flying high from the miracle that took place this week! We have gotten so many messages and notes from people telling us how encouraged they are by the great thing God has done. It has nothing to do with us. God is just so amazing. He has done this great thing!
Today’s verse – Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler. -Psalm 91:3-4
I’ve been praising and thanking God. Prayers are continuing.
