We received a call from our oncologist today that the results are back from the Mayo Clinic. They have diagnosed it as Ewings Sarcoma. It is a rare form of cancer that is mostly found in pre-teens and mostly in boys. We are to meet with the oncologist tomorrow for more information and to discuss their treatment plans. Of course, we are believing for Caleb to be healed according to God’s Word.
They are planning on doing a PET scan on Friday to be sure there are no other tumors anywhere. On Monday,the plan is to go in and have a chemo port surgically implanted so they can begin treatment as soon as possible.
I hope that you noticed I did not say that Caleb has this or that it is his. It has no authority in or on him. He is bought with the blood of Jesus. Also, I am not saying that we are definitely doing this or that because we could go in for a scan or surgery and it be completely gone. We are being very careful with our words (Prov 18:21) and only speaking words of LIFE. If you have any bad news or bad reports of someone that something bad happened to in a similar situation, you can keep those words to yourself, if you don’t mind. Please speak words of healing and life over our son. Here are some of the scriptures we are standing on and you can stand with us:
Jer 1:12 – Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
Isaiah 55:11 – So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
1 Peter 2:24 – Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 54:13 – All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.
Psalm 91:16 – With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.
Psalm 103:2-5 – Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Please speak these words of life when you think of Caleb and agree with us for total restoration and healing. Our God is able…
